Operational for more than 50 years, Community Psychiatric Clinic has been providing community-based behavioral healthcare services. It is a nonprofit organization that serves nearly 5,000 people a year with a variety of mental health services, including community-based care for people with psychiatric disabilities; counseling for children, adults, couples and families; vocational programs; chemical dependency recovery programs; and housing services. Its staff includes child mental health specialists, chemical dependency counselors, psychiatric nurses and a board-certified psychiatrist with a specialization in children. The goals of its child and family services are to improve both individual and family functioning through stabilizing problem behaviors and enhancing parenting skills.
