Founded in 1973, Asian Counseling and Referral Service is a nationally recognized, nonprofit organization offering a wide variety of human services and behavioral health programs to Americans of Asian origin in King County in the state of Washington. The organization promotes social justice, well-being and empowerment of individuals, families and communities, including immigrants and refugees, by developing, providing and advocating community-based multilingual and multicultural services. The organization offers various programs, including adult, children, youth and family, adult mental health, consultation and education and domestic violence intervention programs. Its programs also include naturalization services, information and referrals, senior nutrition and food bank, substance abuse treatment, and vocational and employment services. It is located in Seattle and has more than 140 employees speaking over 25 languages.
