History
Inspiring youth to a relationship with Jesus Christ since 1919. SAMBICA, (historically the Sammamish Bible Camp Association) began as a Youth Bible Conference in 1919 founded by members of the Swedish Tabernacle Church. Over the last 101 years, SAMBICA has worked hard to achieve the current level of high-quality programs that benefit our campers and the surrounding community. SAMBICA is now a non-profit, non-denominational Christian camp and event center. SAMBICA's 25+ buildings are spread over 9 acres on the shores of Lake Sammamish here in Bellevue. During the summer months, SAMBICA offers youth summer camps including both overnight camps and day camps, as well as a high school leadership program (ELITE). Approximately 100 team members are hired alongside our year-round staff to run camp operations in roles such as counselors, lifeguards, boat drivers, and kitchen staff. Over 2,500 children attend SAMBICA each summer!
