History
Camp Gilead was founded in 1948 by Pastor Forrest Johnson of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Seattle WA. Since 1948, Camp Gilead's mission has been to simply offer a place for young people, families and adults to come grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and to assist local churches in the work of evangelism and discipleship through camps, conferences and retreats.

Camp Gilead also offers a quality leadership training program for high school students and staff opportunities for high school graduates and college age youth.
