Specialties
Oh Joy II is built for the specific purpose of cruising the world's oceans. She is designed expressly to be able to handle deep water ocean cruising and passages of months between ports. She is heavy, weighing in at 28,000 pounds. She is sea-kindly, handling heavy seas and high winds with ease. But she is, without a doubt, a luxurious yacht. Her solid teak joinery with its hand-rubbed varnish and warm, tropical grain hails from a different era. In fact, it isn't available anymore, at any price. But she carries this luxury with understated grace and style. Oh Joy II's saloon is warm and comfortable and filled with natural light, with the added comfort of a gas fireplace for chilly northwest evenings. Her galley is complete, with double stainless steel sinks, refrigerator and freezer, three-burner gas range and oven, microwave, coffee maker and storage for enough provisions to satisfy even the most ravenous crew.
