Tidewater Sew-Vac carries one of the largest selections of sewing notions and accessories in eastern Virginia. It provides a variety of machines, offers repair services and embroidery cards and also hold a number of sewing classes. Since its inception in 1976, Tidewater has maintained a local production facility designed to bring rebuilt vacuum cleaners to market. It takes trade-ins from other organizations and puts them through a 24-point tune-up procedure that brings them as close to new as possible. Its lines include such mass merchandisers as Miele, Sharp, Simplicity, Eureka, Sanitaire, Royal and Koblenze. The company performs warranty service for Koblenze, Dirt Devil, Fantom and Kirby.
