Tidewater Sew-Vac is a provider of sewing machines, vacuums, and commercial vacuums and floor machines to customers, governmental agencies, businesses, and the janitorial and sanitation industries in Virginia and North Carolina. It has been the company s goal to serve customers with a selection of new and used household sewing machines, sergers and embroidery systems. Tidewater Sew-Vac carries one of the largest selections of sewing notions and accessories in eastern Virginia. It provides a variety of machines, offers repair services and embroidery cards and also hold a number of sewing classes. Since its inception in 1976, Tidewater has maintained a local production facility designed to bring rebuilt vacuum cleaners to market. It takes trade-ins from other organizations and puts them through a 24-point tune-up procedure that brings them as close to new as possible. Its lines include such mass merchandisers as Miele, Sharp, Simplicity, Eureka, Sanitaire, Royal and Koblenze. The company performs warranty service for Koblenze, Dirt Devil, Fantom and Kirby. Tidewater Sew-Vac maintains a location in Virginia Beach, Va.
