History
I started out as a commercial photographer working with some of the best ad agencies and art directors around. In October 2010 I did my very first show. It wasn't a juried show you just signed up and you are in. I really didn't plan on selling anything. it was a neighborhood show and I figured I'd take my two little girls down there, goof off with them show my work to mostly my neighbors and that would be it. I was partially right. I didn't sell anything that first year, but I got tremendous feedback. I tweaked my art a little bit and applied to 9 shows the next winter in Miami. Again I wasn't planning for much. I was a commercial photographer and made my living that way. I figured I'd get into one or two shows maybe. These were all juried shows. To my surprise I got into online and long story short sales were awesome. I won best in show at one and best in category at another.
Specialties
I'm an artist in the prestigious Torpedo Factory in Alexandria Virginia. I deconstruct kids games, phrases, food etc. etc. and illustrate them with photography on multi panel canvases. For instance my bestseller is a triptych. The first panel is a very simple photo of a rock, the second photo is a photo of a piece of paper and in the third is a beautifully lit pair of scissors. Rochambeau, rock paper scissors.
