The Utah Division of Child and Family Services protects children who are at the risk of abuse, neglect and dependency. It works with families to provide safety, nurturing and permanence. The division offers parent education, budgeting, crisis intervention, sexual abuse treatment and mental health therapy services. The Utah Division of Child and Family Services handles more than 36,500 complaints of child abuse annually and provides home-based services to over 17,000 clients. It offers opportunities to children above 18 years to participate in the Transition to Adult Living program that is designed to promote self-sufficiency. The division is a part of the Utah Department of Human Services that provides direct and contracted services to vulnerable families and adults and protects children from domestic violence.
