Prakash Gatta, MD is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in foregut esophageal, gastrointestinal, and minimally invasive surgery. With a passion for advancing automation in surgery through robotics and digitally enhanced surgical care, Dr. Gatta has held numerous clinical faculty positions and served on committees exploring new frontiers in minimally invasive GI surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has contributed to the development of a single port laparoscopic access tool for less invasive GI surgeries.
Dr. Gatta's areas of clinical focus include oncology of the upper foregut, esophageal and gastric cancer, the treatment of GERD, hiatal paraesophageal hernia, and esophageal motility disorders. Fluent in English, Hindi, Telugu, and Arabic, Dr. Gatta is dedicated to providing charity care both locally and internationally.
