Bradford Soap Works was founded in Rhode Island in 1876. In 1931 the company moved into its present United States headquarters in West Warwick s historic Valley Queen Mill. For many years the company focused primarily on soaps for the textile industry, but since the late 1940s it has steadily broadened its product line and customer base. Today, Bradford ranks as one of the world s largest independent producers of specialty bar soaps and a leading supplier of a broad range of personal cleansing products, proprietary soap bases and specialized industrial chemicals. Bradford has been making soap by the traditional full-boiled kettle process for 125 years.
