The Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority, also known as PWSA, provides water and wastewater services to nearly 250,000 consumers throughout the city of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. This project was to ensure that the water system met the rapidly expanding water quality requirements of the federal and state Safe Drinking Water Acts.
