It provides printing solutions and maintains an engineering support unit. Established in 1955, the 800-plus-bed institution offers housing and confinement services for males. The Oregon State Correctional Institution also provides self-improvement programs. It also has dormitory-style special housing unit for inmates who are medically and physically challenged. The institution is a part of the Oregon Department of Corrections, which offers cognitive, behavioral and job skills for inmates. The Oregon Department of Corrections provides administrative oversight and funding for community corrections activities.
