Rollins Laboratory is a satellite laboratory of the National Animal Health Laboratory Network. It is responsible for providing rapid diagnostics for foreign animal diseases of swine and poultry. The laboratory accepts all species. It is accredited by the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians. The laboratory is the central laboratory of the North Carolina Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory System, which assists owners and veterinarians in diagnosing diseases of livestock and poultry and in preventing outbreaks of catastrophic foreign animal diseases by early detection. It also conducts histopathological and cytologies examinations. The laboratory sends specimens for procedures to the National Veterinary Services Laboratory in Iowa. Rollins Laboratory is located in Raleigh, N.C.
