I initially started in medicine as a paramedic in 2004 and then decided to further pursue my education and became a registered nurse. I served in the U.S. Army as a flight nurse and spent most of my military career traveling the world and working in some of the best trauma facilities in the world. I left active duty and joined UNC Rex Hospital in 2013 as a RN in the medical surgical intensive care unit (MSICU) and graduated from nurse practitioner school at Duke in 2017. I joined the intensive critical unit (ICU) team and had the pleasure of working alongside some of the best physicians in this field. In 2023, I left the ICU to work with Rex Hospital Pulmonary as a provider in the outpatient clinic. Outside of work, I enjoy my wife and two sons and my primary passion for myself is racing triathlons.
