I chose to become a physician assistant so that I could walk alongside and coach patients in their journey to better health. I particularly enjoy family medicine because I get to know patients of all ages and can help manage a variety of health conditions. Sports medicine and preventative care especially interest me. I approach patient care as a team sport. Patients, their families and loved ones, and other healthcare members each play an integral role on the team. Teams with the best outcomes are those that have trust and interdependence, watch and listen intently, seek improvement, and have a genuine care for one another. Outside of work, you will often find me with my wife and chocolate lab; whether at the lake or beach, outdoors on a trail, or walking around the neighborhood. I also enjoy watching the Tar Heels in all sports, running, bicycling, and keeping up with the latest Marvel and Star Wars releases.
