North Carolina State Fairgrounds, governed by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, organizes a range of exhibits in Raleigh. It conducts various agricultural fairs and livestock competitions for rural and urban citizens. The division also provides facilities on a rental basis. North Carolina State Fairgrounds maintains fair buildings and grounds. In addition, it operates Pitzer Heritage Circle, Rand Grandstand and Holshouser Building. The division s buildings accommodate up to 10,000 individuals. North Carolina State Fairgrounds organizes dog, train and trade shows, social events, concerts, conferences and auctions. It is a member of the International Association of Fairs and Expositions.
