Established in 1968, The Summit School is a private, nonprofit and coeducational institution that serves students with learning disabilities. The school employs faculty and clinical staff of more than 100 professionals and serves over 200 students. Its staff includes social workers, speech pathologists, occupational therapists and reading specialists. The school provides education in English, mathematics, science and social studies. It conducts a range of after-school activities, such as basketball, swimming, chess, cooking, tennis and performing arts. In addition, the school offers classes in computer graphics, animation, digital media and cartooning. The school has a parent association that supports academic activities and social events.
