History
Life and business partners Leigh Melander, PhD, and Mark Somerfield, MFA, dreamt of creating a place where people could imagine past what they thought was possible in workshops, retreats, and gatherings. They spent over five years combing the East Coast for the right location, and in 2012 found the gorgeous but tired former Fleischmanns family summer camp and spent a year bringing this extraordinary property back to life. Spillian: A Place to Revel was first officially opened in September, 2013 and has begun to welcome guests from around the world.
