The Cathedral Church of the Intercessor began as tbe St. Thomas Episcopal Church, which was founded in the late 1930s. In 1995, it broke communion with the Episcopal Church and joined the Charismatic Episcopal Church, changing its name to the Cathedral Church of the Intercessor.
