The Cathedral Church of the Intercessor began as tbe St. Thomas Episcopal Church, which was founded in the late 1930s. In 1995, it broke communion with the Episcopal Church and joined the Charismatic Episcopal Church, changing its name to the Cathedral Church of the Intercessor. The church serves as a home for Catholics, Evangelicals and Pentecostals. Parishioners can participate in a wide range of programs and events including choir, youth groups, Bible studies, Sunday School, spiritual retreats, mothers' groups and seminars about marriage and money management. The church also offers a vacation Bible school in the summer, an All Saints Day festival for kids and a Living Nativity in December that attracts members throughout the community.
