Congregation Beth Tikvah is a conservative synogauge that serves over 400 families and was known as Farmingdale-Wantagh Jewish Center until late 2012. The Wantagh Jewish Center was founded in 1951 and in 2007 combined resources with the Farmingdale Jewish Center to form the Farmingdale Wantagh Jewish Center. In 2008 the Israel Community Center in Levittown also merged with the Farmingdale Wantagh Jewish Center. Daily minyans are offered in the morning and evening as well as family services, and Shabbat dinners. The congregation has religous education for children and adults, a pre-school, Sisterhood, Yiddish Club, and Men's Club. The synagogue's spiritual leader is Rabbi Alan Lavin.
