Established in 1970, the Central New York Regional Transportation Authority, also known as CNYRTA, provides a wide variety of transportation solutions. It serves Onondaga, Cayuga and Oswego counties in New York. Its subsidiary corporations include CNY Centro, Centro Parking and ITC. CNYRTA offers paratransit services for senior citizens and rural residents. It also offers intercity transportation services between the cities of Auburn, Skaneateles, Marcellus, Oswego, Fulton, Mexico and Syracuse, N.Y. Additionally, it provides special transportation services for various special events, including the New York state fair, Syracuse Chiefs events and concerts, sporting events and theaters.
