Happy Hands Foundation Inc is a non-profit organization based in Newark, NJ that has been serving the deaf and hard of hearing community for over 25 years. Founded by Al Proo, Happy Hands aims to address the issue of illiteracy among deaf adults by providing specialized early intervention and language development programs for children from birth to 6 years old. Accredited as a school by The Association of Christian Schools International, Happy Hands has expanded its services to include children with communication disorders, successfully changing the outcome for an entire generation of children and enabling them to enter elementary school on par with their hearing peers.
