It was originally a sister company to Didion & Son's Foundry The main purpose of Didion Recycling was to supply the foundry, with a steady flow of cast iron for their furnaces.In the late 1980's the company started dealing in non-ferrous metals. Early in the 1990's Dean Orf took over management at Didion Recycling. In January 2001, Dean and Susan Orf purchased Didion Recycling from Didion & Son's Foundry, thus Didion Orf Recycling was created. No longer being affiliated with the foundry, allowed for significant growth in the company.
