Didion Recycling was established in 1974. It was originally a sister company to Didion & Son's Foundry The main purpose of Didion Recycling was to supply the foundry, with a steady flow of cast iron for their furnaces.In the late 1980's the company started dealing in non-ferrous metals. Early in the 1990's Dean Orf took over management at Didion Recycling. In January 2001, Dean and Susan Orf purchased Didion Recycling from Didion & Son's Foundry, thus Didion Orf Recycling was created. No longer being affiliated with the foundry, allowed for significant growth in the company. In June 2003, Didion Orf Recycling expanded its operations to St. James, Mo., creating Didion Orf Recycling West. Together Didion Orf Recycling, Inc employs over Thirty-Five individuals. This family oriented company is always looking towards the future, whether it be a new metals building, or the next generation of management. Didion Orf Recycling, Inc is always moving forward.Didion Orf Recyling has been an active member of Institute of Scrap Recycling, Inc ( ISRI ) for more than twenty-five years.We have dedicated our time and effort to try and serve our community as best as possible. We have been voted the #1 Recycling Company in St. Charles County by Suburan Journal for the past several years. Our goal is to continue to serve our customers and the community that supports us, to the best of our abilities.
