The Elm Creek Park Reserve features more than 20 miles of paved hiking and biking trails, swimming pools, picnic pavilions, playgrounds and an exercise area. Located in Maple Grove, Minn., it serves as avenue for organizing winter activities, including snowballing, downhill and cross-country skiing, sliding and snowshoeing. The Elm Creek Park Reserve is owned and operated by the Three Rivers Park District, which is a nationally acclaimed network of parks and trails and was established in 1957. The Three Rivers Park District maintains an area of more than 27,000 acres of parkland that includes golf courses, nature centers, and skiing and snowboard areas. In addition, the district manages boating, fishing, camping and swimming facilities.
