An active cemetery for more than 160 years and an accredited arboretum, Newton Cemetery is a private, non-profit organization serving the needs of all faiths for Newton and the Boston area. Founded in 1855 during the garden cemetery movement, the picturesque grounds are open daily and the public is welcome to explore.

Absolutely positively gorgeous property. Very well maintained and extremely expansive. Super expensive but well worth it since it's one of the most coveted cities to live in within the entire USA.

I am very disappointed in this cemetery. My 5 day old was buried there, and we chose the Dell (new section of the cemetery). We payed an exorbitant amount of money, but I didn't blink an eye...

Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery

Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, a nonsectarian and nondenominational perpetual care cemetery, houses over 13,000 burials and spans from the corner of Post Road and School Street up to the railroad tracks near Frenchtown Road. Of its 125 acres, only 65 have been developed, leaving the rest as wooded areas untouched by society. Some of the oldest graves on the site were reinterred from Quonset Point during the 1940s when the base was being built up. Among its more well-known inhabitants is the inventor of the stapler and the original owners of Bostitch.

Ridgewood Cemetery is located along Salem Street. The private cemetery was established in 1850, and is overseen by a board of trustees. Ridgewood welcomes people of all faiths and backgrounds.
