The Chabad Jewish Center services the communities of Needham, Westwood, Dover and Dedham. The center practices Ahavas Yisroel, which is "an unconditional love and concern for every Jew, regardless of age, background, affiliation or level of observance," according to the official Web site.
In lieu of a synagogue, Chabad has a Shul, which is Yiddish for a place of prayer and study, an environment that speaks to the characteristics of home. All are welcome to services here.
Chabad also provides weekly adult education classes on the Torah, as well Hebrew School for children. Additionally, Chabad offers Shabbat dinners, a women's circle, a community circle and kids' workshops. Community outreach includes Mitzvah campaigns, hospital visitations, Kosher Awareness Day and other programs.
