Established in 1972, Sabine Council on Aging is a nonprofit organization directing its services to the elderly of the parish. Based in Many, La., the society offers a range of services, such as local transportation, nonemergency medical transportation, nonmedical transportation, information, assistance and outreach, to name a few. It also offers meal services, including congregate meals, emergency food bank, nutrition education and home delivered meals, to name a few. Sabine Council on Aging offers recreational services, such as bingo, quilting, crafts, games, computer classes, photography classes, woodworking, scrap booking and painting.
