United Engines Shreveport as well as its four other locations began its over 50-year association with the Detroit Diesel Division of General Motors Corporation. United Engines is one of the oldest Detroit Diesel distributors in the world. United Engines became a charter distributor for what is now the Allison Transmission Corporation.
