Founded in 1976, Great Plains Manufacturing is one of the largest privately held agricultural equipment manufacturers in the United States. Two other important subsidiaries of Great Plains Manufacturing are Great Plains Trucking, which operates over 60 trucksand Great Plains Acceptance Corporation, which provides product financing. Great Plains Manufacturing encompasses nearly eight manufacturing facilities with a total of approximately 750,000 square feet. It has a staff of more than 1,000 employees.
