The Opa Locka Public Works & Utilities Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of various physical structures and facilities. The department provides distribution line inspection, water meter installation, sanitary sewer blockage repairs, canal cleaning, street sweeping and sidewalk maintenance services. Its fleet maintenance division maintains and repairs vehicles, as well as offers preventative maintenance programs. It also provides repair services for motors, transmissions, brakes and tires.
