Workers' Compensation Commission
The state Workers’ Compensation Commission administers laws of the State of Connecticut with the goal of ensuring workers hurt on the job receive prompt payment of lost work-time benefits and medical expenses. The Commission seeks voluntary agreements, adjudicates disputes, makes findings and awards, hears and rules on appeals and closes out cases through stipulated settlements. Residents of the following towns are served by the Middletown regional office: Haddam, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Westbrook, Cheshire, Essex, Chester, Portland, Colchester,Rocky Hill, Salem, Lyme, Cromwell,Manchester, Deep River, Manchester, Glastonbury,Marlborough, East Haddam, Meriden, East Hampton,Middlefield, Middletown and Wallingford. The office is on the third floor of 90 Court St., across from the state courthouse.
