Middlesex United Way describes itself as a locally based organization dedicated to strengthening lives, helping people, and improving community conditions in the 15 towns in Middlesex County. It also has a volunteer center that organizes activities and matches volunteers with projects.
United Way programs aim to improve children's readiness to enter school, increase economic self-sufficiency of individuals and families, reduce risky behaviors among youth and adults and enhance the ability of individuals and families to attain affordable housing.
Middlesex United Way is a private, not-for-profit organization overseen by a 25-member board of directors. Its offices are on the second floor of Riverview Center in suite 230.
