Kathi Bledsoe grew up on the Central Coast of California, an area rich in barbecue tradition and cuisine. Growing up surrounded by some of the best Santa Maria style barbecue chefs and restaurants, her passion for flame grilled cuisine was ignited. After many years of working in the restaurant business as a server, manager and chef she made the decision to enroll in the culinary arts program at CMU and earn a culinary degree. Kathi's new business, Katy Q's BBQ, is the realization of a long time dream to bring true Santa Maria Style barbecue to Colorado. Barbecue in the Santa Maria tradition is cooked over live flame. California red oak is used on the Central Coast; in Colorado Palisade Peach wood makes an excellent substitute lending it's own unique Rocky Mountain flavor.

Kay Q's BBQ serves traditional Santa Maria style BBQ grillled over Palisade Peach wood and an eclectic selection of creative grilled food, from our basic Tri-Tip steak and Beer & Butter Basted Chicken to wild caught salmon, artichokes, unique quesadillas with Manchego cheese, smokey Gouda, blue cheese and caramelized onion peach jam, Wheat Beer brats, pancetta wrapped jalapenos. All sides and salad dressings are house made, Mediterranean pasta salad, spicy black beans, Santa Maria style salsa, fresh organic mixed green salad. Our menu selections are suggestions, we would love to customize a menu just for you. And don't forget the garlic bread, grilled over the fire. Have us cater your next office meeting, employee appreciation bbq, wedding, birthday, family reunion. We will travel to remote locations for your event. In addition to catering traditional BBQ fare, we also offer private chef services in your home. We can do an evening or up to a month in your home. I am also offering consultation and collaboration to help you change your way of eating to a heart healthy Keto, Paleo, Carnivore, low carb fresh whole, organic diet.
