Fremont Correctional Facility (FCF) is a Level III, mixed custody facility located in Canon City, CO. Originally opened in 1958 as a Medium Custody facility, FCF now houses Minimum, Minimum Restricted, Medium, and Close Custody inmates. With a total of 1,621 beds, FCF offers a range of inmate programs, including a Therapeutic Community, Juveniles Convicted as Adults Program (JCAP), Pre-Release Programs, and a Sex Offender Treatment Program. Inmates also have access to meaningful work opportunities, such as the Correctional Industries Furniture shop and Metal Products shop.
Under the leadership of Warden Siobhan Burtlow, FCF is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for both inmates and staff. While visitation is temporarily suspended due to an ongoing facility improvement project, FCF recognizes the importance of maintaining connections between inmates and their families. Video visitation is available seven days a week, and visiting appointments can be arranged through Global Tel Link (GTL). Located at the intersection of East Hwy 50 and Evans Ave, FCF is dedicated to the rehabilitation and successful reintegration of its inmate population.
