The Sacramento County Cooperative Extension is a partnership with UC Davis to educate members of the community in agriculture, gardening, nutrition, food preservation and other topics. Most of the classes are taught by volunteers. 4H groups also hold meetings at this site.
Classes are open to the public and don't require registration, and most are free. Food preservation classes, which are held once per month, have a cost of $3. Some classes are held off-site, at locations like the Fair Oaks Horticulture Center.
