Tokyo Fish Market was opened by husband and wife Isamu and Tazuye Fujita in 1963 and, though it has expanded substantially over the decades, it remains a family business. The market is known in the East Bay for its fresh fish and wide selection of Japanese packaged food and drinks, including a fine selection of sake. The store also carries produce and has a small deli section with pre-made sushi, sashimi and teriyaki meals. In addition, there are some basic household items for sale.
