History
After many years of teaching only group classes and workshops I moved into teaching more private classes. I completed an 800 hour Yoga Therapy teacher training through the Niroga Institute in 2016. I am dedicated to providing high quality, individualized instruction, giving personal attention to each client and recognizing that each individual has different needs. I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years and instructing for over a decade. I have over 2000 hours of training.
Specialties
For those working with an injury or managing a health condition, yoga therapy sessions and massage therapy serve your self-healing. If you are facing health challenges, therapeutic, personalized yoga and massage classes can help you manage your condition, reduce your symptoms and enhance your quality of life. As a yoga and massage therapist, I adapt our private sessions to your specific needs. From basic back care to stress reduction, I will customize the lessons to manage and alleviate pain and suffering while building a healthy lifestyle. With commitment to your heal you'll be able to reclaim and maintain your physical health and mental well-being and feel more connected to yourself and others. I also offer specialized services involving adaptive yoga for people with limited mobility due to disabilities such as brain injuries, cerebral palsy, blindness, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, Parkinson's disease, and more. Thai massage can be complementary to yoga postures and breath-work and is offered when appropriate. It is performed clothed without the use of oils, and is usually performed on a padded floor or seated in conjunction with yoga postures. Like yoga, Thai massage provides relaxation and pain relief, and protects against stress-related health issues. It is also known to boost energy and improve range of motion and flexibility.
