Healdsburg's Recreation Park, or Rec Park as it's known, is a classic small-town center for community sports and events. Its four acres include a lighted baseball/soccer field with covered wood bleachers; a football field for junior high and high school teams; a concession stand building and picnic area and two large scoreboards.
It's also the site of the city's traditional Future Farmers Fair on Memorial Day Weekend, with stalls for cows, goats, sheep and swine for FFA competition, as well as local food booths and activities. Other events are sometimes scheduled (permits required from the City of Healdsburg), including high school graduation ceremonies and the Healdsburg Jazz Festival "concert on the green" in June. You may see a baseball game from junior high schoolers, senior league and anything in between in summer months and since there's no admission another fan in the stands is always welcome.
