NAMM, also known as the National Association of Music Merchants, is a nonprofit trade association that organizes music-related trade shows, activities and programs. Founded in 1901, it represents more than 9,000 retailers, manufacturers and distributors of musical instruments and products from over 85 countries. The association offers membership opportunities for several companies. NAMM also conducts Idea center and breakfast sessions. It specializes in music education and education reform legislation and funding services. In addition, the association has a library and resource center. NAMM s affiliate companies include NAMM Foundation, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and John Lennon Educational Tour Bus.
