The Arizona Department of Transportation-Multimodal Planning Division handles mobility, congestion and air quality issues throughout the State. It administers several federal transit administration grant programs, offers technical assistance and expertise, oversees local transit agencies and decision makers, coordinates and funds state transit and rail planning efforts, and sets and monitors light rail system safety standards. The Arizona Department of Transportation-Multimodal Planning Division supports a transportation facilities construction program for highways and airports under the priority programming law. It also maintains a data section that is responsible for collecting, producing and maintaining an array of highway extent, use and performance information about Arizona's public road and street network. The department offers employee benefits information, mandatory training, computer access, equipment check and maintenance and financial management services.
