The Wyoming Department of Transportation, also known as WYDOT, is a part of the government of the State of Wyoming. The department s driver services program administers and maintains the state s driving records system, tests, issues and processes. It also issues license plates and vehicle registrations. The Wyoming Department of Transportation oversees the development of plans and specifications for improvement plans for highways, bridges and related infrastructures. The department s human resources program is responsible for job recruiting, retention, placement and classification functions. It operates an aeronautics division that initiates, develops, monitors and maintains statewide airport capital improvement projects. The Wyoming Department of Transportation additionally collects fuel taxes.
