WOKY is one of the more than 1,200 locally owned and programmed radio stations operated by Clear Channel Radio, a division of Clear Channel Communications. Tuned to 920 on the AM dial, WOKY is a legendary station in Milwaukee. It began in 1950 and was Milwaukee s leading Top 40 station through the 1960s and early 1970s. Known as the Mighty 92, WOKY airs an adult standards format and features University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee basketball games. Clear Channel Radio is headquartered in San Antonio and reaches more than 110 million listeners throughout the United States.
