HistoryD.W. Davies & Co. was founded by David W. Davies in 1951,operated as a proprietorship until 1956, then incorporated as D.W. Davies & Co.,Inc. We manufactured dry cleaning soaps, special spotters, sizing, water repellents for garments, compounded laundry soaps, special spot removers and water conditioners. Another line of products manufactured was water treatment products such as boiler compounds, cooling tower compounds and special water conditioners for water with iron content. In the late 1950's and 1960's the Davies Company was forced to reorganize and diversify and began to buy other companies such as: Lightning Products (automotive cleaners) Armco Chemical (Magic Glass) Northwest Sanitary Supply (floor wax, cleaners, mops, etc.) Northland Chemical Co. (boiler and cooling tower compounds) Miro Products (furniture polish) KleenKey Mfg (automotive products) Edsol (odor control products) DW Davies is highly diversified and has a great marketing advantage over single-line companies.SpecialtiesWe have a strong marketing base in the floor finish, cleaning supplies and janitorial supplies areas as well as industrial products, such as grinding compounds, cutting oils, metal cleaners, etc. We also have a very strong marketing base in automotive chemicals, such as car washing detergents, vinyl cleaners and dressings, auto polishes, etc. as well as cleaning products and de-icing fluids for aircraft. We also have an excellent marketing base in the swimming pool line.
