The University of Wisconsin Paul P. Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center, also known as UWCCC, specializes in cancer research, education and treatments. Established in 1940, it also offers medical treatments for various lung cancers, such as mesothelioma, bronchioloalveolar carcinoma and other lung-related malignancies. The center is affiliated with the Beloit Memorial Hospital, St. Elizabeth Hospital Cancer Center and Michael D. Wachtel Cancer Center. UWCCC has a staff of more than 250 physicians and scientists. The center offers a variety of educational opportunities for scientists, undergraduates, graduates, postgraduates, physicians and nurses. It conducts an oncologist training program that focuses on translational research. The University of Wisconsin Paul P. Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center is located in Madison, Wis.
