History
Started in 1959 as a cooperative book processing center, the Southwest Wisconsin Library System has been providing support for public libraries in the southwest corner of Wisconsin for over 50 years. In 1974, the Southwest Wisconsin Book Processing Center became the Southwest Wisconsin Library System.
Specialties
Providing support and services to member public libraries in Crawford, Grant, Iowa, Lafayette, and Richland Counties in SW Wisconsin. Services include: physical delivery of materials between member libraries, continuing education workshops for directors and library staff, support for an integrated library system and technology, and consultants on a wide variety of library issues.
