The Siebert Lutheran Foundation was created by the late Albert F. Siebert, son of a Lutheran pastor in Ohio.
Siebert operated Milwaukee Electric Tool Company in Milwaukee and when it fell into financial trouble during the Great Depression, Siebert vowed if the company survived, he would use much of its assets for the Lord's work.
He created the Siebert Lutheran Foundation in 1952, funding it with his entire interest in Milwaukee Electric Tool. It continues to make annual grants to Lutheran causes, based on these guidelines.
