RESCO supplies electrical transmission and distribution equipment to the electric utility industry. Its Midwest warehouses ship 24 hours-a-day and responds to any emergency. Also known as Rural Electric Supply, the company was incorporated in 1936 in the state of Wisconsin under the name WRECA. Its original purpose was to furnish technical and management services to rural electric utilities located in Wisconsin. In 1972, the name was changed to RESCO and its mission changed to providing its electric utility customers with service and a source of competitive materials. RESCO's trade area includes Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Michigan, Nebraska and Northern Illinois. This trade area is served with four fully stocked warehouses totaling nearly 100,000 square feet and 12,000 square feet of outside storage, centrally located in Middleton, Wis.; Ankeny, Iowa; Moorhead, Minn.; and Mt. Pleasant, Mich.
